Just one little word change

Ok, it's time for an honesty check here.  Have you ever, maybe even recently, used the following term, even if you weren't "whiney" about it. The truth counts here !

"WHY ME?"

 



And now an even bigger question.  Why were you asking that?  What was going on at the time you thought and/or said that?  And, when was that?  And that is my whole point of this post! 

 

If you, like me, have ever wondered or uttered the "why me" thing, it most likely meant that at that particular time in your life you had "had it".  You were maxed out with whatever it was that ultimately led you to say it. 

 

Have you noticed that all of the dialogue up to this point is in the past tense?  Exactly where whatever it is that led you to think or exclaim "why me" is....in the past.  Hmmmmm.  And if you are reading this, you obviously lived through whatever it was.

 

 

 

Isn't it interesting how just one little word change could change your whole outlook?  From a "why" to a "try".  Much more positive and a lot less "whiney" methinks, and definitely much more manly.

 

Oh, in case you forgot....life will continue to put you into tough situations once in a while...that's what life is all about.  Getting through and past those situations is what it's all about...and that process can be a whole lot easier with just one little word change.
