Pass on the past

Over the years I have come to the conclusion that guys that are the unhappiest and restless seem more apt to dwell on their past failures, and they have an almost hyperactive obsession on what lies ahead.  Conversly, those men who seem to be most at ease with themselves and those around them are those who embrace where they are at today, let go of any of the bad of the past, and they always seem to have a pretty well grounded faith in what is yet to come.  But with that, they are living today as if it could be the last day of their life.

Men have a lot on their table as a rule.  Marriage is work.  Raising kids is work.  Being a good husband, father, and man is work.  Providing for a family is work.  At times it seems that life is one big juggling act.  True enough?

It sounds harder than it is....allow faith to do all the work, let it replace concern about the past and worry about the future.

If it means being a better husband, father, and man, can you do that?  Have you considered trying?
