Your destiny defined

Yep, no hocus-pocus or abra-cadabra here.  None of that.  Remember yesterday's post....the one about if our thoughts were in plain view in bubbles over our heads how deep the weeds might be?  And that we would always get thoughts that we didn't want or like and that may not be really appropriate?

As stated in that post, we are also given the ability to make choices.  The choices that we make at any time are a reflection of us...where we are in terms of maturity, growth, and spiritual condition.  Having been reminded of making some "bone-head" decisions in my life, it is easy for me to see choices can clearly be a predictor of my level of maturity and growth at that point in time.

Where is this going?  I'm simply saying, based on my own experience (with the guy captured within my skin) that it is the matter of choices that really defines who we are and what we are.  And that is because we make choices in every aspect of our lives, the most important of which is our spiritual lives.  Let's face it:
  • we can choose to believe or not believe
  • we can choose to believe and be passive about it
  • we can choose to believe and be a modern day disciple
  • we can choose to passionately live the way God would have us to live
Or we could just simply make no choices at all....which I do not feel is possible.  How do you possibly live without making choices?

At any rate since the ability to make choices is an inborn part of us all, would you not also think then that it is those choices that define us....that make our destiny?  I sure do.
